Bloody Ban’s 1779 Raid on The Hamlet of Pound Ridge (2022-2023)
And by HERE! we don’t just mean here in Pound Ridge. We mean right here on the spot where our Pound Ridge Museum is today. That’s where much of the fighting really happened, which makes it an ideal place to commemorate this big piece of town history. So that’s what we’re doing. From now through November, you can visit the Museum to learn the details of Lieutenant Colonel Banastre Tarleton’s raid and see artifacts of the Revolution - from drums and a musket to a soldier’s discharge paper, signed by George Washington.

Who did these things belong to, and what's their story? That's what our 50 Objects - 50 Stories exhibition is all about; an eclectic look at pound Ridge - somewhat scholarly, somewhat whimsical, somewhat serious, always historical.

Modern in Pound Ridge (2017)
The Pound Ridge Historical Society opened Modern in Pound Ridge: 20th Century Architecture + Lifestyle on April 23, 2017. This was a real departure for the Society as the show featured the town's first comprehensive survey of Modern and Contemporary architecture as a part of our town's history that had been largely neglected.
